Bulls Gored By Strikers |
Saturday 13th Mar, 2010The Brisbane Strikers have handed out a pre-season wake-up call of the loudest kind to the Far North Queensland Bulls, winning 8-2 in Mareeba tonight.
Teenage forward Matt Thurtell was a goal scoring glutton, notching four to give himself a massive confidence boost ahead of the season proper, while Gareth Musson continued his phenomenal pre-season average of two goals per game with another double.
Midfielders Chay Hews and Michael Angus scored the other goals for the Strikers in a performance that added up to what coach Stuart McLaren, with some understatement, described as “a good night all round”.
